The attractive Tyrolean village of Götzens lies on a sunny plateau, about 7 kilometres from Innsbruck. The Götzens-Mutters skiing area, accessed by the Götzens gondola, is located about 500 metres from the village centre. It is also only 10 kilometres to the skiing at neighbouring Axamer Lizum. Götzens can be easily accessed from the motorway, and its proximity to Innsbruck makes for easy travelling arrangements by either bus, train or flight. This plateau offers some lovely winter walking paths which are perfect for afternoon strolls and torchlit evening rambles. Götzens has a disco, an adventure bar, cafes, restaurants, shops, banks and a tourist office.
The 3*s Hotel Edelweiss is located close to the centre of Götzens. It is about 800 metres to the Götzens gondola station and 5 kilometres to the Mutters gondola station. The free ski bus service stops 200 metres from the hotel, by the church.

Turn off your car engine on arrival and leave it until it is time to drive home! The busy resort centre of Zell am See, with all its shops, leisure facilities, cafés, bars and restaurants, is ca. 2 kilometres away. There is a ski school and a beginner's lift with nursery slope right by the hotel and the ski bus into town and on to Kaprun is ca. 100 m away
